Injectables are a cosmetic treatment designed to reduce the signs of aging and improve the appearance of the skin. They can treat wrinkles, fine lines, scars, frown lines, and facial asymmetry. They are temporary treatments that usually don’t last more than one year as the substances are absorbed into the body.

Laser Hair Removal

Reduces unwanted hair, eliminating the hassle and expense of shaving, tweezing, or waxing. We can tailor our laser hair reduction treatments to best suit your specific concerns which give us the ability to treat both large and small areas, as well as a range of skin types. That energy is transmitted to the hair follicle; this damages or destroys the follicle, stopping or greatly reducing its ability to grow hair.

IPL (Intense pulsed light) Skin Rejuvenation is a less invasive alternative to laser skin resurfacing. IPL bypasses the epidermis (top skin layer) to target the second skin layer (i.e. dermis) for improvements to skin pigmentation, skin texture, and overall complexion. At Taylortox, we use the Freezpen which provides the most precise and efficient cryotherapy treatment, effectively eliminating unwanted blemishes with minimal discomfort or risk of side effects.

Teeth Whitening

Here at Taylortox, we use SunnaSmile, an LED-activated teeth-whitening system. It's safe on enamel, protects the gums, and causes little to no sensitivity. One SunnaSmile session is the equivalent in whitening power to 50 tubes of whitening toothpaste, 25 dental whitening syringes, and 5 packages of whitening strips!

Amanda Ballum

Amanda is an RMT originally educated in Ontario who moved permanently to Nova Scotia in 2020. Amanda provides treatments that are in a safe, relaxed, judgement free space, to ensure clients leave her feeling completely relaxed in both body and mind.

She holds particular interests in the treatment of TMJ and spinal issues, such as scoliosis. Amanda spends any down time with her family.

Heather Taylor, LPN

Heather Taylor is a certified LPN and the founder of Taylortox Aesthetics. She has over 15 years experience working in the Health Care field as a CCA, Ward Clerk, and with VON. She completed her aesthetics training with CBAM (Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine) in Toronto. Heather has a vibrant and outgoing personality and is continually trying to learn, grown, and improve her aesthetic skills by attending training and keeping up with the latest technologies used in the medical aesthetics field.

She absolutely loves working in the industry and she loves that she gets to be a part of the journey to empowering both women and men to feel beautiful in their own skin.

When not at the clinic, Heather loves to spend time with her husband, two daughters, and step-son.
